Female authors, female characters are not the anti-christ
Pull up a chair and listen well to this story I weave
Of a nice teenage girl who seems to be a pet peeve
She stuck by her man through his twists and turns
And even was there for his many returns
She brought him back from the land of the dead
And often smacked him upside his fat head
He himself would do anything for her
Even kick the ass of an ugly, fat monster
Through thick and thin the two did stay
And stayed that way even while he was away
She waited and waited and waited some more
And nearly gave up two years later at the beach shore
He came back though and as all stories go
They embraced and laughed and went with the flow
So, in short, dear authors, when you write
Remember not just these lovers' fights
They kept promises and leaned on each other
And both would rarely shut out one for another
To separate them, need not make her a bitch
Because this makes my brain get a glitch
Bashing her for the sake of male action
Rarely gives me or others any satisfaction
Please stop making her personality go misplaced
Or I'll have to punch you in your inflated face

Thank you, and good night (and yes, some of it doesn't really rhyme, sue me).
The thread that follows is interesting too, although everyone agrees with her (thank God) - i.e., "oh, and a small message to those who bash/kill/otherwise get rid of a female character because she "gets in the way of the mansex": here's a tip - if you have to get rid of a female 'cause otherwise the two guys wouldn't go after each other, maybe they're not actually gay."  Apparently she was writing it about the Yu Yu Hakusho fandom, but I could have sworn it was mine.
