"It just goes to show you, you have to go with your first instinct. If you were originally thinking A, then go with A. It's good to know that sometimes your gut is right."
Bonus Nostalgia Songs on a Theme (and One Non-Nostalgia Song):
"Stories" - Trapt
"Letters" - Stroke 9
"Little Talks" - Of Monsters and Men
"All Good Naysayers, Speak Up! Or Forever Hold Your Peace!" - Sufjan Stevens
"Big Talk" - Speakerhedz
* Either MTV's most cynical or most idealistic show yet.

Date: 2014-03-19 03:20 pm (UTC)I write those kinds of stories (you can thank DBZ for that) - in my post-apocalyptic series, the undead demon-knight finally returns to his abusive human hometown in the final climax, and it's very unclear whether he's still on the humans' side or not - and that confrontation is what "Jimmy" makes me think of.
Kind of the male equivalent of Shawn Colvin's "Sunny Came Home," (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qfKKBDFCiIA) which changed my life when I heard it as a kid: "Sunny came home with a list of names/ she didn't believe in transcendence/ and it's time for a few small repairs, she said/ Sunny came home with a vengeance."
