help wanted

Dear F-list, any recommendations for a place that might be receptive to a story that is: (a) minimally "fantastic," and definitely not science fiction, (b) dark, (c) contemporary?  It's also political, but you probably could have guessed that.  And while I wouldn't call it "experimental," it's not really traditional and straight-forward either.  It's a little ~obscure~.

Interesting, thanks!

Nick's recommendation is a good one, although I submitted to Unstuck back in September and haven't heard from them since. Have you played around with the Duotrope database? (www.duotrope.com) It's by far the best search engine I've found for literary submissions. Registration is free.

Yeah, I have, and I've found a few candidates - just wanted to see if anyone else had any ideas, especially since some stuff isn't on Duotrope.

To be perfectly selfish, me please. And feel free to sub directly to the publisher address.
