My cat, who narrowly escaped death last week (UTI + hyperglycemia = bad news bears), sleeping on the Cat Lovers Against the Bomb calendar from Nebraskans for Peace.  The little shaved part on her arm is where they draw blood for her glucose checks.

Glad your cat is still with you! One of our guinea pigs died the other day. We have to quickly find a new friend for our remaining guinea pigs, since they do better with a companion.

The psychedelic calendar is something else--I liked the <a href="http://www.johncoulthart.com/feuilleton/wp-content/uploads/2009/10/pw12.jpg>Alice's Evidence</a> page. (You get psychedelic Julia-set fractal to go with the psychedelic theme.)

Only one right now--we only ever had two. We've been thinking of getting two more this time, for a total of three, so that when one dies the other isn't left completely bereft.

... and my fractal terminology extends to "Julia set" and "Mandelbrot set"--and that's about it. I love the Jonathan Coulton song "Mandelbrot set," though--do you know it?
