So, I just officially moved home, diploma and four suitcases in hand. My diploma's all in Latin... but I understand at least one phrase, "summa cum laude."

Pretty sure I'm going to get sick soon. Screaming babies on plane, Northwest Airlines is an inefficient bureaucracy, I keep misspelling inefficient. Apparently the cat is getting arthritis and my cousin has narcolepsy, and Nebraska's new awfully-designed license plates are causing a big local tiff.

And the real purpose of this post is to mention that my good old "Intertropical Convergence Zone" is a finalist for storySouth's Million Writers Award. "Intertropical Convergence Zone" promises to uphold traditional values and keep our nation safe, so go read it and vote for it! For a better America!

LOL. What's ironic is I only told AC like, two days ago that I wrote fiction in addition to poli sci papers. I was like, "I write horror," and he said, "Cool."

Yeah, somehow we ended up talking about that the night before I left...but I'd mentioned it to him before. He always seems strangely anxious about the need to get published. Maybe his own issues, or just making conversation. Idk.

Woo-hoo! I have a pretty regular sleeping schedule, but it can be easily messed with. I think I may have a latent cold, however. Oh, and no tengo car except with advanced planning (i.e., I drive my mom to work and pick her up in the afternoon, so I have the car in between).

I almost feel like I should learn how to bike.

Haha, no need to fuck up your sleeping schedule on my account... just don't get sick! I have use of a car, so that's no problem. And I like biking! But it's a bitch to learn how. Or it was for me, anyway. But...what should we do? Go out to eat? Wander around? Find strange movies? Have a picnic? Just hang out? hmm
