But I do feel a distance from those who were born to 'professional' parents--professors, doctors, lawyers, artists--things where people admire you, that require skill, whether or not you make lots of money from them...what is that called? Oh: cultural capital--real class, of the aristocratic kind. ;) If we still had aristocrats, anyway. Now it's something else.
