Ha! I wasn't much a fan of that sequence, but I guess at least they weren't talking...
I can see how Splice turned people off - it puts a lot of stuff on screen that seems taboo. I think it's a shame that when taboo things are put up on screen the backlash seems almost automatic, regardless of the context the movie puts these scenes in. I think that may contribute to that feeling I get when I watch a lot of movies - that I've seen it all before. That I can predict what's going to happen, because there's limits nobody crosses and there's stances that everybody's supposed to take. Sorry, rambling.
