Any David Lynch fans out there?

I can't really call myself one because I've only seen Mulholland Drive - but it made a deep impression on me.  Anyway, I decided to see if I could track down Rabbits on YouTube, and all eight episodes are online.  At the beginning I was like, "huh?" but by the end of episode 8 I was genuinely afraid.  And now I can't stop watching the episodes oh my god it's like crack.

I REALLY want to write down all the dialogue and put it in proper order.  In case you haven't come to the conclusion that I am hopelessly weird, here's a quiz that backs me up:

So, intertribal, your LiveJournal reveals...

You are... 16% unique (blame, for example, your interest in the neo-west), 36% peculiar, 24% interesting, 18% normal and 7% herdlike (partly because you, like everyone else, enjoy radiohead). When it comes to friends you are normal. In terms of the way you relate to people, you are keen to please. Your writing style (based on a recent public entry) is intellectual.

Your overall weirdness is: 60

(The average level of weirdness is: 29. You are weirder than 91% of other LJers.) Find out what your weirdness level is!

Whoa, I can see how that would be addictive. I immediately clicked on the second episode.

Watching the first though, for the first half, I was mainly thinking, OH MY GOD WOMAN, YOU'RE GOING TO BURN THAT SHIRT.

I think it's the sound of wind howling (?) that makes it extra creepy. The Russian subtitles add a certain something.

Right?? It is literally crack. Just as harmful anyways :P And ho ho, if you think that's creepy wait till the last episode. I think 50 minutes of listening to bunny-people in a dimly-lit house surrounded by howling wind can really screw with your mind.

Yeah, the ironing is pretty insane.

Dang it. I had to go and click Episode 1.

That foghorn/moaning sound weirds me out.

It's as if Richard Adams and David Lynch paired up for a surrealistic sequel to Watership Down!

Yes, I thought of that too! Watership Down in very sad Hollywood!

In the end, I half-expected Dante and Virgil to enter the room and blast them all with shotguns.

Yeah, any bad dreams tonight, and I'm totally blaming you.

No way, Lynch never would have ended with shotguns. More likely they'd just come in wearing gorilla masks.

Good! Nightmares are my goal!

Well, yeah, you're right about the shotguns. Not so in keeping with ol' boy's aesthetic and probably wish-fulfillment of a Tarantino-esque nature since I watched Inglorious Basterds the other night, and it's still on my mind.

Gorilla masks. Maybe this, too, from Twin Peaks:

So, I'll see your nightmares and raise you dancing, prancing, backwards-talking dwarves!

Aw man, I missed out on Twin Peaks! All I got was (like so much of my pop culture education) the Simpsons version:

Damn you. Just watched 1-8 in one sitting. I wonder who I will be.

Profoundly creepy.
