well, one would think that honest intellectual endeavors tried to explain things. of course, there are a lot of areas of bullshit, but well, you have to know how to find the good stuff, imo. actually, i'm pretty much convinced that most in the modern academy don't know how to do that, but that's because i'm an arrogant bastard. but it's ok that you think what i'm trying to do is impossible. (not sarcastic, i'm pretty cool w/ where i am right now)

anyway, of course there are other ways of explaining things, and similarities and differences among them...
