a sense of joy and then a panic

I always heard it as You say 'I wanted you to be proud of me' but after five years of listening to Tori, I never ever thought of it as You say I wanted you to be proud of me, but now I think it could be either way. That's a song very dear to my heart - its very odd you mention it in an entry today - it reminds me of my father who would have been 57 today if he were still alive (I guess it's the 21st over there right now, it's still the 20th here)
