albert einstein explains the radio, and other things

"You see, the wire telegraph is a kind of a very, very long cat. You pull his tail in New York and his head is meowing in Los Angeles. Do you understand this? And radio operates exactly the same way: you send signals here, they receive them there. The only difference is that there is no cat."

a couple others, because yes, I am a cat-freak.  and yes, I know that those little creatures in my userpic are not cats.  later, later, the cats will come later, when the madness that is my own tabby cat comes back into my life, or rather I come back into hers.

"Of all God's creatures, there is only one that cannot be made slave of the leash. That one is the cat. If man could be crossed with the cat it would improve the man, but it would deteriorate the cat."
- Twain

"The man who carries a cat by the tail learns something that can be learned in no other way."
- Twain

"Thou art the Great Cat, the avenger of the Gods, and the judge of words, and the president of the sovereign chiefs and the governor of the holy Circle; thou art indeed...the Great Cat."
- inscribed on the Royal Tombs at Thebes

You should hit me over the head with something for not being able to comment to this without mentioning steve, but...I have a reason, and the reason is Egypt. steve and bozena have two cats. one is a black cat that hides from people most of the time and the other is a very social abyssinian (look them up, they're gorgeous)...or here:

I think, though that that one is "Bozena's cat" and the black one is "Steve's cat." Goddamn, they're like people with their dogs. I mean, Bozena is gorgeous, social, headstrong but very caring...Steve wears black and hides from people.

is Brownie like me? She's not really like either of us (me or my mom), because her place in the family is the "little sister". Like, she takes my bed when I'm not there. If my mom's paying too much attention to me she starts meowing.
