Kabbalah. that's what i meant. anyway, there is a lot of strange shit i had no idea about that creeps into videogames. like the sephirot, which isn't just in FFVII. anyway, there are ten sephirot, which weirds me out, for reasons related to peirce, of all things. ten is like a divine number...you have to be really careful with peirce, 'cause he's religious, and i'm trying to figure out where certain things in his theory actually come from, because he keeps religion out of his semiotics, but it's all based in a certain philosophical perspective, that draws on Rousseau and Kant and other folks i don't know...
